AMR is a technology of automatically collecting data from energy / water metering devices and others for billing and analysing purposes. Standard systems divide themselves into two categories: fixed meter reading networks and drive-by / walk-by meter reading networks. Fixed Automatic Meter Reading networks are perfectly suitable for commercial and industrial applications, in particular where gathering data daily or hourly is vital, whereas drive-by or walk-by meter reading networks are often used in residential meter reading applications. AMBER wireless compact OEM radio modules enable cable-free remote data collection and simplify the task of reading meters that are difficult to access. AMBER wireless addresses manufacturers of meter devices and utility companies and providers with its wide range of OEM radio solutions to be integrated in meters, mobile data collection terminals and data concentrator devices. Our products comply with the European Wireless M-Bus* standard (EN13757-4:2005), the (German) OMS specification and the wireless KNX (KNX-RF) standard.
