The M-Bus radio bridge is a universal converter for meter (electricity, water, gas) with M-Bus interface. The meter data are transformed into a wireless communication protocol and transmitted per radio.

The AMB8466 thus eliminates complex and expensive wiring. Almost any existing meter that uses a (wired) M-bus interface according to EN13757 can communicate cable-free using the wireless M-Bus Bridge.
M-Bus RF Bridge "Master" and "Slave"
Via "Master" up to 3 meters can be integrated into an already existing M-Bus network. A M-Bus interface that is already integrated in a meter is powered by the "Master". Detection of meters to the "Master" is realised automatically using wildcard search. A complex configuration of AMB8466 is thus unnecessary.
Antenna options
AMB1981: SMA antenna with articulating link.
AMB1982: Magnetic mount antenna (with 1.5 m cable)
Fields of application
Smart metering infrastructure: the M-Bus Radio Bridge AMB8466 is an ideal cable replacement, enabling the cable-free integration of remote meters into a cable-based M-Bus network.
