The Ethernet Access Point is a two-way stand-alone product that allows easy access to a Wireless M-Bus  or proprietary network using TCP / IP. The device is for example suitable for consumption data acquisition in large real estates. The device can as well operate as data concentrator in a Wireless M-Bus network.

The device supports the modes S and T and comprises a high quality RF front-end and is configurable through a web interface. The encryption or decryption of data according to AES128 can optionally be implemented in the device.
 
As the corresponding radio telegrams can be preloaded in the Access Point, a two-way communication with battery-operated wM-Bus devices in compliance with strict timing deadlines is conceivable.
 
The built-in flash memory allows operation as a data logger. Stored data can be transferred on demand or availability of the network connection. Dynamic DNS also allow access through a DSL router.
