The AMB8567-M enables wireless connection of meters with pulse output to a wireless M-Bus / OMS radio network. This allows for easy wireless reading of gas, water or electricity meters. The format of the data transmitted can be freely configured.

The gateway and the pulse interface are powered by the integrated battery. Depending on operating conditions and the device’s configuration a battery life time of more than 12 years can be achieved. The device supports both potential-free pulse outputs (reed, optocoupler...) and open collector outputs.
Easy installation
For installation and configuration purposes, an intuitively operable software for Windows and Windows CE / Mobile (prerequisite: .NET Compact Framework 3.0) is provided. Configuration of the gateway is realised over the radio link. In order to establish the wireless communication, a wireless M-Bus USB stick AMB8465-M is needed (part of the installation kit AMB8567-M-K, see next page). Manufacturer, pulse valency, device type as well as other data records are adjustable.

Activation of the wireless configuration interface is achieved by means of a reed contact using a magnet. During the installation phase the device operates in “Installation Mode” sending data in a higher interval to enable its user to quickly set up the radio link and to run the system check.
The device can be mounted by means of included wall holders, the pulse outputs are connected using a screw terminal.
Fields of application
Wireless AMR / smart metering infrastructure: All meters with pulse interface can be integrated quickly and cost-effectively into a wireless M-Bus / OMS network without expensive and time-consuming cabling.
